Adriane is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a passion for providing the utmost quality of services to individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.  Adriane has been practicing in South Florida for over nine years and received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Adriane has specific expertise in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and her extensive DBT training has been through Behavioral Tech, a training company founded by DBT’s creator, Dr. Marsha Linehan.

She has also been privileged to receive training from Dr. Marsha Linehan herself during an Intensive DBT workshop in Seattle, WA. Adriane is also responsible for teaching, developing, and supervising DBT programs affiliated with The Amy Winehouse Foundation in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Adriane’s style of therapy is an eclectic approach or “multi-modal” to adapt to the individual needs of her patients. Adriane believes that therapy is not “one size fits all” and that there is a mutual and collaborative focus on the direction and goals of therapy. Some of the modalities she commonly uses are DBT, CBT, Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Experience

While Adriane has vast experience working with individuals suffering from anxiety or depression, she also has expertise working with people struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, relationship issues, grief/loss, anger management, LGBTQIA-related issues, life transitions, panic attacks, and panic disorder, self-esteem, work stress, and women’s issues.

Adriane believes and recognizes that the person in therapy is the expert on their own experience.  Her role as the therapist is to make interpretations, offer suggestions, and guide them to their best self!
